PARENTAL GUIDANCE SUGGESTED – ADULT SITUATIONS…
This show can be as naughty as “Two and a Half Men”… We can tone it down if necessary.

A Note From Scorcher Finagin –

The Father of the Deceased – Sean Patrick Finagin.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends and family, for supporting Margaret and I, in this our day of grief, over the death of our dear son, Sean Patrick Finagin, who was taken from us all so suddenly.  Today was the day that Katherine (Kate) O’Shea and Sean Patrick Finagin were to be wed.  Unfortunately, Sean was found dead, on the floor of the WC so there will be no joyful wedding today, but there shall be a wake instead.  Apparently, he died in a most explosive fashion, one that is really too messy to reveal to you in this skiff. Hogan, Sean’s older brother, is particularly saddened and he is doing all he can to comfort Sean’s bride-to-never-be, Kate O’Shea.  Hogan has vowed to help Kate through this difficult time.

We have many esteemed guests in attendance today and we’d like to acknowledge their loving presence.

Father Mickey Muldoon, Sean’s uncle, Margaret’s brother and my brother in-law, will be on hand to preside over the wake ceremony.  Sean’s two aunts, Clara Finagin and Lizzie Muldoon, who are professional Keeners, (mourners/criers) will be providing the necessary wailing and crying to help us on with our grief.  Lizzie, my wife Margaret’s sister, will also have her bastard, Irish/Italian son, whom we don’t like to mention, but we will mention just to keep the peace, Seamus Latansio, at her side.

Other guests include Sean’s good friends, Barty O’Byrne, our ceremonial piper and town drunk, Dunny O’Day, Sean’s high school buddy and now the Sexton at the Rectory, and Shauna O’Shea, Kate’s sister and a very close friend of Sean’s. Shauna and Sean seemed to be inseparable at times.  Alas, they will never get to share those special friendly times they always had, ever again.

Oh! I almost forgot, Sister Anne Regina Bissel Hoover, (sorry Sister), from Our Lady of Perpetual Motion Convent, will also be here to assist Father Muldoon. And, last but not least, The Barley Boys, led by Michael O’Doul’s, will provide the ceremonial music for us.

It is with great grief that I offer you these words.  Margaret and I celebrate Sean’s life and death today and we are honored for you to share in that with us.

Love and Blessings,

Scorcher Finagin
